Kuwait City: On the first working day after the Eid al-Adha holiday, attendance at government institutions was only 55 percent. Unlike usual, the roads were free of traffic on the first day after the holiday. Also, parking spaces in front of ministries and government agencies remained empty due to lack of staff. Local media reported that the phones were ringing non-stop in some offices of the ministries.

People who visited some offices raised complaints against the staff due to delays in transactions. Officials of various government departments understood the matter and quickly completed the transactions. Many employees of various ministries have extended their leave. This is the main reason for affecting the attendance of government agencies. The authorities make it clear that this issue will not go unnoticed and those who are not present will have to bear the responsibility according to the law and regulations.
