Kuwait City: Some people might believe that the recent decline of the Euro to its lowest level against the dollar in 20 years is only a European-American issue, but in reality, Kuwaiti citizens and residents are impacted by this significant change in the exchange rate, either favourably or unfavourably, depending on the strength of its connections and the manner in which it conducts financial transactions with the European Union countries. Given that inflation is a global phenomenon that affects the developed world due to the effects of the Corona pandemic, the increase in food and oil prices, etc., as well as the effects of the Russian-Ukrainian war, we will not examine the effects of inflation on Kuwait and the countries of the European Union or the United States, etc., in order to focus on analysis.

The Euro depreciated against the Kuwaiti dinar by almost 15% from its peak in 2020, mirroring the decline of the Euro against the dollar over the same time period with a modest increase of the dollar against the dinar.
