Kuwait City: Foreign investors continued to buy Kuwaiti shares during the first 7 months of this year, with some positive indicators that have supported the purchasing activity of the stock exchange since the beginning of the year, and among these factors is the rise in Kuwaiti oil prices to record levels, which reflects the positive outlook The Kuwaiti Stock Exchange during the current year and the coming period.


In this context, the official data of the volume of trading in the official market according to nationality and trading category during the past 7 months of this year revealed that foreign investors continued to enhance their confidence in the Kuwait Stock Exchange by making intensive purchases in Kuwaiti shares, with a net purchase of 535.8 million dinars.

Their purchases have been concentrated since the beginning of the year through the portfolios of institutions and companies, which achieved a net purchase of 541.42 million dinars through purchases amounting to 1.36 billion dinars, offset by sales that amounted to 826.16 million dinars. Net sale amounted to 6.82 million dinars.

During their transactions last July, foreign investment achieved a net purchase of 75.73 million dinars, as foreign purchases were concentrated in this month through institutions and companies, which achieved a purchase surplus of 78.88 million dinars. Investment funds to be sold with a value of 3.25 million dinars.

Foreign purchases coincided with the gains achieved by the Kuwaiti Stock Exchange during the month of July, as the market value increased by 4.1% during the month of July, reaching 45.82 billion dinars at the end of July trading, up from 44.004 billion dinars at the end of last June, meaning that the market achieved gains estimated at 1.8 billion dinars.

The premier market index also rose, achieving monthly gains of 4.3%, achieving 360 points, bringing the index to 8,603 points, up from 8,243 points at the end of last June. The main market index increased by 3.4%, achieving 195 points, to reach 5875 points, from 5680 points at the end of last June.
