ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION AT HIGHEST LEVEL IN KUWAIT'S HISTORY

Kuwait City: Estimates show that electricity consumption in the country is at the highest level in history. It was recorded in the electrical index that a total of 15,900 MW was used yesterday. This is the highest rate in history. Yesterday the temperature in the country was 49 degrees Celsius. Sources in the Ministry of Electricity state that as the temperature rises, the electricity consumption is also increasing. This increase is as expected.


Sources in the ministry said that it is expected that the electricity consumption may go up to 16,500 MW during the peak temperature. This is likely till the end of September when temperatures will remain high. The Ministry is currently making efforts to conserve energy and carry out necessary maintenance. Sources in the Ministry of Power also stated that the Ministry has a reserve of 1,500 to 2,000 MW.
