DOMESTIC WORKERS MUST BE CHANGED FIRST IN DEMOGRAPHIC STRUCTURE

Kuwait City:  Candidates' electoral platforms that rely on unattainable objectives, such as changing the demographic composition and forgiving loans, have reappeared. This is due to the fact that the candidates prey on voters' ignorance of the reality that these requests cannot be fulfilled for the straightforward reason that, if they are, they could destroy the country's economy and even the citizens themselves.

However, the competitors keep taking advantage of the public's ignorance. With its emphasis on demographics that can be nominally accepted for security and social reasons but are unacceptable and damaging in practise, the issue of dropping loans is objectionable in form and even subject. The government sector, where 76% of the workforce is made up of people, experiences hidden unemployment and low productivity.

While same issues do not exist in the private sector, which only has 4% of citizens as employees. So, is it possible for the government to reduce the 1.5 million productive foreign workers who are employed in the private sector? Even with the labour assistance allowance, are citizens capable or desirous of doing their tasks and collecting their wages? On the other hand, if we examine the 723,000 domestic workers who frequently serve citizens, with the exception of a very small number of cases, we will find that they account for 49% of all citizens, 23% of all expats, and 16% of all other people.
