KUWAIT HEALTH MINISTER WITH IMPORTANT DECISIONS IN PRIVATE PHARMACY SECTOR

Kuwait City: Minister of Health Dr. Khalid al-Said issued two decisive decisions. As part of this, he amended Article 18 of Ministerial Resolution 395/1997 on the Executive Regulations of Law 28/1996. The license to open a pharmacy center is restricted to Kuwaitis only.


The decision stipulates that pharmacies will be given three months to adjust their conditions when implementing Article 1. In case of non-compliance even after this, legal action will be taken in this regard. The second decision was to suspend applications for licenses to new pharmacies in the private sector and applications for licenses for non-Kuwaitis to practice pharmacy until a related study is completed.
