Kuwait City: When comparing the country's population in different age groups, it is estimated that people aged one to 29 years are more citizens than residents. But when it comes to age, there are opposite figures. In the over-40 age group, the number of residents is six times that of citizens. According to the latest figures from the Central Administration of Statistics, out of 14,20836 male and female citizens, 862,171 are aged between one and 29 years.

That means 60 percent of the total population is between the ages of 1 and 29. Meanwhile, the number of residents in the same age group is 685,585 out of 2,796,064, which is 24.5 percent. As the age group increases, the number of citizens decreases. The 30 to 34 age group stands at 105,417 with a population of 148,989. The figures also show that in the 35 to 39 age group, the number of citizens is 89,932 compared to 352,477 residents.
