PACI DATA SHOWS AN INCREASE IN POPULATION

Kuwait City: According to recent data from the Public Authority for Civil Information, Kuwait's population increased by 78.71 thousand during the first half of 2022, bringing the country's total population from 4.38 million at the end of December 2021 to 4.46 million at the end of June 2022. 


Compared to the end of 2021, there were 65,288 more new arrivals at the end of June 2022, bringing the total to 2,96 million. Meanwhile, there were 13.4 thousand more citizens at the end of June 2022, bringing the total to 1.5 million, up from 1.48 million at the end of December 2021. At the end of June of last year, Kuwait had a total population of roughly 4.464 million, of which 34% were citizens. The remaining 66%, or 2.96 million, were expatriates.
