AUTHORITIES REMAIN RELUCTANT, THE KILLING OF STRAY DOGS IN KUWAIT CONTINUES

Kuwait City: The trend of killing stray dogs continues as the concerned authorities continue to be reluctant to address the issues. The most recent reports of stray dogs being killed came from the Sabia area. Despite several reports of dogs being killed in Al Subiya and other areas, no action was taken by the relevant authorities, primarily the General Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries and the General Authority for Environment.


There is a tendency to kill stray dogs by poisoning them or shooting them with hunting rifles while wandering for water or food. Most of the cases are massacres of stray dogs. Muhammad Sarab, Director General of FCI, an organization for dogs, responded that unethical activities are continuing. He added that if the concerned authorities remain silent, the problem will worsen.
