Kuwait City: Following a recent joint meeting between representatives of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) and the Ministry of Interior, a set of regulations aimed at controlling the labour market, eliminating marginal workers, and punishing those found to have violated labour and residency laws was developed.

According to sources, the representatives agreed to revise the conditions for hiring workers in delivery companies and restaurants in order to implement a clearer and more stringent mechanism. According to sources, the representatives also discussed procedures for food trucks and other commercial activities on wheels, particularly item delivery.

According to sources, a thorough inspection campaign is currently being carried out by inspectors from the ministry's General Traffic Department, Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, and PAM to ensure strict adherence to the health regulations, particularly the method of transporting food.

Daily enforcement of the campaign will take place in commercial areas, eateries, delivery services, and motorcycles, and it will be ensured that the driver of the vehicle is in possession of a work permit, a "health card," and a valid civil card, with their primary place of residence being their employer. If a worker is detained outside of their place of employment, the Residency Affairs Investigations Department will be contacted to carry out the necessary steps, which will result in their deportation from Kuwait.
