NON-RESIDENTS MUST PASS A PROFESSION TEAST IN ORDER TO RENEW THEIR VISAS, OTHERWISE THEY MUST FLEE KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Manpower Authority is conducting professional tests to ensure the skill level of workers coming to the country in collaboration with the Society of Engineers. Professional tests will be conducted in the first phase for new arrivals to Kuwait. Sources in the Manpower Authority said that later it will be extended to those who wish to renew their work permits within the country. 


The tests are conducted as a condition for the renewal and issuance of work permits. Failing this, the concerned person will have to leave the country. A separate time will be allotted for this purpose. Meanwhile, during the 48th session of the Arab Conference that concluded yesterday in Cairo, the Manpower Authority discussed the issue of bringing workers to Kuwait with the Egyptian authorities. In the meantime, the Authority has started to strengthen inspections in collaboration with government agencies and to monitor employment contracts and their validity, Director General Dr. Mubarak Al Azmi clarified.
