Kuwait City: More than 2,800 people are affected by cancer annually in the country, said Dr. Dr. Khalid Al Salah. The latest figures show that half of these are residents of the country. The assistance provided by the society to the patient receiving funds from the social service at the Kuwait Cancer Center varies.

Apart from taking care of the patient financially and psychologically, the society is also involved in the spiritual field, including providing facilities for free Umrah trips for cancer patients along with their families. More than 1500 people have already been provided with this facility. Also, a terminal cancer patient will be given the opportunity to travel to his home country with his family. He added that the expenses of this will be borne by the society.
