10,000 AC UNITS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR KUWAITI SCHOOLS

Kuwait City : The Ministry of Education is about to launch a new tender to buy 10,000 new air conditioning units to be distributed to schools during the current academic year, while the concerned authorities are working to install 2,200 new air conditioning units in schools that are suffering from a severe shortage of air conditioning devices.


According to knowledgeable educational sources, the new tender is intended to fill the gap and completely eliminate air-conditioning problems for at least the next five years. They clarified that as a temporary fix, the ministry is currently working to implement the contract for the urgent installation of 2,200 air conditioning units, with 370 units for each educational area, in schools that experience significant air conditioning issues.

In order to address the air conditioning issue at its root, the concerned authorities are simultaneously working to expeditiously complete the procedures for issuing a tender for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of 10,000 new air conditioning units to be distributed to schools according to need. 

In order for the chosen companies to supply, install, and maintain the units without the need for maintenance contracts, the new air conditioning unit tender will be presented with the companies offering a warranty of five years. For the ensuing five years, this procedure will address the air conditioning issue.
