RESEARCH IN KUWAIT TO ASSESS THE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF CAMEL MILK

Kuwait City: The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research has initiated the completion of a research project aimed at evaluating the quality and safety of camel milk. The Arabian camel is one of the most important domestic animals in the arid regions of Asia and Africa. Camels have health benefits and great economic importance. Camel milk products in particular are rich in nutrients.


The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research is monitoring the influence of different camel breeds, their geographical distribution in the country and their grazing on milk diversity. Dr. Rita Rahma, Dr. Hossam Al Amira, Dr. Abrar Akbar, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Ateeqi, d. Muhammad Al Otaibi, Shafa Al Marri, Tanayan Al Anasi, Salah Al Mulhim, Tahani Al Sharah, Bathul Akbar, Muhammad Kishk and Anisha Shagan are conducting the research.
