Kuwait City: Buying things "online" has become a common and necessary practise as a result of the proliferation of smart phone applications that cater to these needs, especially since the Corona pandemic and beyond when their significance became particularly apparent. In particular, "grocery applications" make up a significant portion of people's daily transactions, and demand for their use keeps rising daily despite knowledge that the success of these applications depends on a number of variables, the most crucial of which are delivery speed, product availability, and processing accuracy.

According to sources in the grocery application sector, the so-called "electronic grocery" in the Kuwaiti market has continued to grow significantly over the past two years. It is anticipated that by the end of next year, the volume of orders placed through it will reach between 50 and 100 thousand per day, up from an average of 12,000 two years ago. The majority of these orders are for vegetables and fruits, followed by drinks, sweets, snacks, and baked goods.
