KUWAIT MINISTRY OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH AFFAIRS WITH EMERGENCY PLAN TO DEAL WITH RAINY SEASON

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Public Works has come up with an emergency plan to deal with the rainy season. The circular issued by the Ministry's Undersecretary states that the preparations for the rainy season are going on at a fast pace. The Emergency Committee has been given all the powers to issue instructions to the employees of all sectors and departments of the Ministry, especially those directly involved in the implementation of the plan.


Ministry sources say that the contract worth 3.1 million dinars for the maintenance and operation of the tunnel stations will be signed soon. This agreement will be signed as soon as the Audit Bureau completes the review. Sources indicated that the agreement could be signed within a month from now to extend its operation for three years. Until the new contract is signed, the Roads Authority will clean the tunnel stations, ensure safety and carry out necessary maintenance.
