WORLD'S OLDEST ELEMENTARY STUDENT DIES AT THE AGE OF 99

Priscilla Cetinje, the world's oldest primary school student, died in Kenya at the age of 99. UNESCO praised her for her perseverance to learn in her 90s in a French film.


Priscilla, also known as "Gogo Priscilla," died on Wednesday inside her home after suffering from chest complications, according to her grandson, Sami Chepsirur. 

He pointed out that "Gogo was in good health and attended her classes as usual, but she stopped attending school three days before her death after she felt chest pain that forced her to leave school." UNESCO indicated that Priscilla was 94 years old when she persuaded the principal of the local school in her village. In Rift Valley, Kenya, accepted her application to complete her studies, praising this woman, saying that she is “an example to follow inside and outside her community.”
