Russia: A local governor reported that on April 29 in the evening, four civilians were killed as a result of Ukrainian shelling on a village just across the border in the Bryansk region of Russia. Governor Alexander Bogomaz posted on the Telegram, "Four civilians have died." According to Mr. Bogomaz, two additional residents were being treated in a hospital. In the 14-month-old Russian invasion of Ukraine, both sides contend that civilians were not targeted.
