Indian Expatriate Population in UAE Crosses 4 Million Mark

The Indian expatriate community in the UAE has now crossed the 4 million mark, making it the largest immigrant group in the country. Recent data reveals that 30 out of every 1,000 Indians worldwide reside in the UAE, emphasizing the significant presence of Indian nationals in the Gulf nation. Indians make up the largest share of the expatriate population, which constitutes 37.96% of the total population in the UAE.

The Indian community has played a key role in the UAE’s economic growth, contributing significantly to various sectors, including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and finance. Indian Consul General to Dubai, Satish Kumar Sivan, stated that the diaspora has greatly influenced the UAE’s transformation into a leading global financial hub. Their professional expertise and cultural influence have solidified their position as a vital force in the country.

The strong ties between India and the UAE have been further reinforced by the increasing number of Indian migrants. Over the past year alone, more than 130,000 Indians have moved to the UAE, underscoring the country’s importance as a destination for Indian professionals seeking employment. With such a rapid influx, the Indian community continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
