Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior Deploys Comprehensive Security Plan for New Year’s Eve

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has activated a comprehensive security plan to ensure order and safety during New Year’s Eve celebrations across the country. Under direct instructions from First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, and supervised by Undersecretary Major General Abdul Wahab Al-Wahib, security forces have raised readiness levels and intensified deployments in all governorates. The plan aims to maintain public peace, prevent violations, and assist celebrants in a secure environment.

The strategy includes deploying female police officers to monitor large gatherings and address any incidents sensitively. Security measures also involve establishing fixed checkpoints in key locations such as markets, shopping malls, farms, chalets, and livestock areas. Enhanced traffic patrols, foot patrols, and a visible presence in vital facilities aim to deter reckless behavior and ensure smooth movement throughout the night.

Authorities have emphasized that the law will be applied firmly and without exception to anyone disrupting public safety. The plan underscores a zero-tolerance approach toward actions that could mar the celebratory atmosphere, including reckless driving, noise violations, or the use of banned substances or party sprays. Security teams are prepared to respond immediately to any incidents that threaten order or safety.

By implementing this multi-layered security framework, Kuwait aims to enable residents and visitors to welcome the new year safely and joyfully. The ministry reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property while upholding the rule of law, ensuring that celebrations proceed peacefully under the watchful eye of coordinated security forces.
