UAE Warns of Surge in AI-Powered Cyber Threats

The UAE Cybersecurity Council has issued a warning about a sharp increase in sophisticated cyberattacks, largely driven by artificial intelligence. Experts report that AI now fuels over 90% of digital breaches, enabling scammers to create highly convincing phishing messages and fraudulent schemes that are difficult to detect.

To combat these threats, the Council emphasizes that public vigilance is the first line of defense. It advises users to avoid clicking untrusted links, verify message sources, enable two-factor authentication, and use security software. These efforts are part of the broader “Cyber Pulse” national campaign, which aims to enhance public cyber literacy and secure the digital ecosystem amid rapid technological adoption.
