DEWA Adopts Advanced Smart System to Enhance Water Network Management

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has implemented an advanced smart technology platform to improve the operation and monitoring of its water networks. The patented system enables 24/7 remote oversight and control, integrating multiple operational data sources into a single, secure digital infrastructure.

Developed using open-source software, the platform can process over 150,000 database entries in under 30 seconds, enhancing decision-making speed and network reliability. DEWA officials stated the system supports Dubai’s digital transformation goals, reduces operational costs, and strengthens the utility’s readiness for future infrastructure challenges.
