Abu Dhabi Police Warns of Fake Toll Fine Scam

Abu Dhabi Police have issued a warning about a fraudulent text message targeting residents in the name of the “Darb” toll system. The scam message claims the recipient has been fined 100 dirhams for insufficient toll balance and urges immediate payment through a provided link.

Authorities confirmed the message is fake, noting it often originates from a foreign phone number (e.g., +63…). Residents are advised not to respond, click on any links, or share personal information. The Department of Transport clarified that official toll notifications are not sent via such messages.
