Ajman Police Warn Residents of Deadly Risks from Improper Generator Use

Ajman Police have issued an urgent public warning about the life-threatening dangers of portable power generators, labeling them a “silent danger” due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. The colorless, odorless gas can accumulate quickly in enclosed spaces, leading to unconsciousness or death within minutes.

Authorities have released safety guidelines in Arabic, English, and Urdu, emphasizing that generators must never be used indoors or in poorly ventilated areas, should be kept at a safe distance from homes, and require regular maintenance. Residents are urged to immediately shut down faulty units and call 997 in emergencies. The campaign is part of broader efforts to prevent avoidable accidents and enhance community safety.
