Abu Dhabi Municipality Issues Mandatory Environmental Rules for Construction Sites

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has directed that waste and pollutants from construction sites must be properly cleared and disposed of only at approved locations. The announcement was made during an awareness program aimed at promoting environmental responsibility within the construction sector.

The municipality also instructed real estate developers, consultants, and contractors to train their workers on eco-friendly practices. To ensure safe working environments, authorities will conduct surprise inspections to prevent issues such as water stagnation, leakages, and noise pollution.

These measures are part of broader efforts to support the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals and promote sustainable development across the construction industry.
