Kuwait Warns Drivers Against Blocking Roads After Minor Accidents

Kuwait’s General Traffic Department has issued strict instructions to motorists not to block roads following minor accidents. Authorities said drivers who leave vehicles in the middle of the road and cause traffic congestion could face fines and legal action.

Officials advised that in accidents without injuries or major damage, vehicles should be moved immediately to the roadside emergency lane. Drivers do not need to wait for patrol officers at the scene. Instead, both parties can agree on the situation and proceed to the nearest police station along their route to complete formalities.

The traffic department said the measure aims to reduce congestion and ensure smoother traffic flow on busy roads.
