Kuwait’s air defence systems are currently responding to incoming missile and drone threats, according to the Kuwait Armed Forces General Staff.
In a statement issued late Monday at around 11.30 pm, military authorities confirmed that defence systems had been activated to intercept hostile targets approaching the country’s airspace.
Officials said the explosion sounds heard in various parts of the country were caused by air defence systems engaging and neutralising the incoming threats.
Authorities urged citizens and residents to strictly follow safety instructions issued by official agencies to ensure public safety and maintain order during the situation.
