Kuwait Reduces Office Attendance, Maintains Flexible Work System

Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Civil Service Commission has announced a reduction in official working hours for government offices to six hours per day, citing current security conditions.

The decision will come into effect after the Eid al Fitr holidays.

Authorities said that only 30 percent of employees will be required to attend offices in person, while a rotation system will continue to be implemented. Remote work will also be allowed wherever possible.

Evening shifts will remain suspended temporarily, while existing flexible work policies and attendance regulations will continue without changes.

Officials stated that the measures are aimed at ensuring employee safety while maintaining the continuity of government services across Kuwait.
