UAE Warns of Rain During Eid Al Fitr Holidays

Dubai: The National Centre for Meteorology has issued a weather alert indicating a possibility of rain across the United Arab Emirates during the upcoming Eid al Fitr holidays.

According to forecasts, cloudy conditions are expected across various parts of the country from March 21 to March 24, with rainfall likely in several regions. The change in weather is attributed to humid winds from the Arabian Sea combined with low pressure systems.

Weather conditions are expected to begin shifting from today, the 29th day of Ramadan, with a chance of light rain in western coastal areas and islands.

Authorities said light rain may continue in coastal areas on Thursday and Friday, while rainfall could intensify during the Eid holidays from Saturday to Tuesday. Some areas may experience moderate to heavy rain.

Motorists have been advised to exercise caution as temperatures may drop and dust storms could affect visibility. Drivers should maintain safe distances and reduce speed during rainy conditions.

The sea is also expected to be rough, and beachgoers have been urged to follow safety advisories before entering the water.

Authorities emphasised the importance of staying updated through official weather announcements and planning travel accordingly during the holiday period.
