Kuwait to Resume Power Network Maintenance from Wednesday

Kuwait City: Kuwait will resume maintenance work on its electricity distribution network starting Wednesday, March 25, as part of efforts to improve efficiency ahead of the summer season.

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that previously suspended maintenance at secondary substations across various governorates will restart to ensure the network is fully prepared for increased power demand during the hotter months.

Ministry spokesperson Fatima Abbas Johar Hayat said the work is essential to address technical issues and prevent unexpected power outages. The maintenance will be carried out following strict safety standards and technical precision.

The main objective is to strengthen distribution centres to handle the higher electricity load expected in summer.

Residents will be informed in advance about maintenance schedules through the Sahel government app, as well as through the ministry’s official social media platforms.
