Kuwait Handles Over 200 Interventions to Remove Missile Debris

Kuwait City: Kuwait’s explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) unit has carried out more than 200 operations to remove missile debris and drone remnants since the start of attacks on February 28.

Brigadier General Fawaz Abdullah Al Saree, Director of the unit at the Ministry of Interior, said that over 500 reports have been received by the joint operations room over the past 26 days. Dangerous fragments have been found across various parts of the country, including key locations.

He explained that response teams reach sites within minutes of receiving reports, using robots and specialised safety equipment to safely remove hazardous materials.

Experts carry out these operations wearing protective suits weighing around 40 kilograms, highlighting the risks involved in the mission.

Authorities have warned the public not to touch any suspicious debris and to report it immediately, as some fragments may contain toxic or explosive materials.

The EOD unit, established in 1981, operates around the clock to ensure national safety and security.
