UAE Warns Workers Not to Film Incidents or Handle Debris

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, has issued a Safety and Awareness Guide for workers, outlining key rules to ensure safety during emergencies.

The guide emphasises proper handling of debris, the importance of early warning systems, and responsible behaviour during incidents. Workers have been strictly advised not to approach, touch, or handle any debris, especially objects resulting from aerial interceptions, as they may pose serious risks.

Authorities have also prohibited photographing or sharing images and videos of accident sites or damage. The Public Prosecutor warned that publishing such content, including manipulated or AI-generated material, could lead to legal action under UAE law.

Workers are encouraged to act responsibly by staying indoors during alerts, avoiding windows and open areas, and following all official instructions carefully.

The guidelines also stress that individuals should not respond to requests for photos or videos of incidents in exchange for money, as this can endanger public safety and carry legal consequences.

Any incidents should be immediately reported to authorities by calling 999.
