Abu Dhabi: UAE air defence systems successfully intercepted an incoming missile near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi, authorities confirmed.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the interception caused minor damage in the area, but no injuries were reported.
The Ministry of Defence stated that the incident occurred early Thursday around 4:30 am, when air defence systems responded to missile and drone threats. Loud sounds heard across parts of the UAE were the result of these successful interceptions.
Authorities issued emergency alerts during the incident, advising residents to take immediate safety precautions.
Residents have been urged to rely only on official sources for updates and avoid spreading unverified information.
