Trump Warns of New Strikes on Iran’s Bridges and Power Plants

Washington: US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could expand its military operations in Iran to include key infrastructure such as bridges and power plants.

The statement came after reports that a major bridge connecting Tehran and Karaj was struck, with Trump claiming responsibility and urging Iran to agree to a deal before further escalation.

In a social media post, he shared footage he said showed the destruction of the bridge and warned that additional critical infrastructure could be targeted next.

Trump reiterated that US military objectives are “nearing completion” but said operations would continue for the next two to three weeks to intensify pressure.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Macron cautioned that a military effort to reopen the Strait of Hormuz may not be practical, despite calls for allied involvement.

In response, Iran’s army chief issued a strong warning, stating that any direct US ground intervention would face severe consequences.

The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides exchanging threats as tensions continue to escalate.
