UAE intercepts missiles and drones as air defences remain on high alert

The UAE’s air defence systems intercepted a fresh wave of aerial threats on Monday, including twelve ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 19 drones launched from Iran, according to the Ministry of Defence.

Since the escalation began, air defences have successfully neutralised 519 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,210 unmanned aerial vehicles, highlighting the scale of the ongoing attacks.

Authorities reported four new injuries ranging from minor to severe, bringing the total number of injured to 221 people from multiple nationalities, including Emirati, Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Filipino, and others.

No deaths were recorded in the latest incidents. Overall, the total number of fatalities stands at 10 civilians, alongside two martyrs and a Moroccan civilian contractor affiliated with the armed forces.

The Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains fully prepared to respond to any threats, stressing its commitment to safeguarding national security, protecting sovereignty, and ensuring stability across the country.
