UAE intercepts missiles and drones in latest air defence operation

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that UAE air defence systems intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 19 unmanned aerial vehicles on Monday, April 6, 2026, following launches from Iran.

Since the escalation began, UAE forces have intercepted a total of 519 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,210 drones, reflecting the scale and استمرار of the attacks.

Four new injuries were reported, ranging from minor to severe, bringing the total number of injured to 221 people from diverse nationalities, including Emirati, Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, Egyptian, and others.

No deaths were recorded in the latest incidents. Overall, fatalities remain at 10 civilians, along with two martyrs and one Moroccan civilian contractor working with the UAE Armed Forces.

Authorities reiterated that defence systems remain fully operational and ready to respond to any further threats while ensuring the country’s safety and stability.
