Ministry of Defence confirms calm after days of interceptions

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that on April 9, 2026, no ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or unmanned aerial vehicles were detected in UAE airspace.

Since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defence systems have intercepted a total of 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones, reflecting the scale of earlier threats.

No injuries were reported in recent hours, keeping the total number of injured at 224 individuals from multiple nationalities, including Emirati, Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, and others.

Authorities also confirmed that no new fatalities or martyrdom cases have occurred. Overall, fatalities remain at 10 civilians, alongside two martyrs and one Moroccan civilian contractor associated with the Armed Forces.

Officials reiterated that defence systems remain fully prepared while the current situation remains stable and secure.
