Tensions between the United States and Iran remain high as a US-imposed blockade on Iranian ports has officially taken effect. US President Donald Trump warned that Iranian vessels approaching restricted zones could face military action, even as he indicated that a diplomatic resolution is still possible.
Iran strongly condemned the move, accusing the US of “piracy,” while protests were reported in Tehran, particularly near the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route.
Despite escalating rhetoric, both sides are reportedly exploring the possibility of renewed negotiations. Pakistan has offered to host another round of face-to-face talks aimed at extending the ceasefire, following earlier discussions that ended without agreement.
Global attention remains focused on whether diplomacy can prevail amid rising military pressure, as the situation continues to evolve rapidly.
