Dubai’s Global Village to reopen April 20 after temporary closure

Global Village in Dubai is set to reopen on April 20 at 5pm after a temporary closure due to regional tensions. The popular destination had initially remained shut as a precautionary measure, with no confirmed reopening date.

The announcement was shared through the attraction’s official social media channels, inviting visitors back with the message that it is ready to welcome guests again. From reopening day, Global Village will operate daily from 5pm to midnight.

Earlier, authorities had advised the public to rely only on verified platforms for updates regarding reopening plans. The closure was part of broader safety measures, with several outdoor attractions pausing operations during the same period.

Operated under Dubai Holding Entertainment, Global Village remains one of the country’s most popular seasonal attractions, combining shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences.

Since its launch in 1997, the destination has attracted over 100 million visitors, including a record 10.5 million during its previous season. The upcoming Season 30 is expected to feature 30 cultural pavilions representing more than 90 countries, thousands of retail outlets, hundreds of dining options, live shows, and a wide range of rides and games.
