Ras Al Khaimah Police has announced a partial closure of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Street as part of a major road maintenance project scheduled to begin on June 1.
According to authorities, the affected section stretches from the Ship Roundabout to the Clock Roundabout and will remain under traffic restrictions until August 30, 2026.
The project involves asphalt maintenance works aimed at improving road quality, enhancing traffic flow and increasing safety for motorists using one of Ras Al Khaimah’s key roads.
Officials said maintenance operations will be carried out around the clock throughout the project period to ensure timely completion and reduce the overall duration of disruptions.
The partial closure is expected to lead to temporary traffic diversions and restricted access at various stages of the work.
Motorists travelling through the area may experience delays, particularly during peak traffic hours.
Police have advised drivers to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time and closely follow all road signs and traffic management instructions.
Authorities also urged motorists to exercise caution while driving near work zones and remain alert to changing traffic conditions.
The maintenance project forms part of ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives across Ras Al Khaimah aimed at enhancing road safety and improving the overall driving experience.
Officials called on road users to cooperate with traffic authorities throughout the maintenance period to help ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety.
