The Kuwait Armed Forces has confirmed that air defence systems are actively intercepting hostile missiles and drones amid an ongoing aerial threat.
In a statement, the General Staff of the Army said the country’s air defence units are engaging and neutralising incoming targets to protect national airspace and ensure public safety.
Military officials noted that any explosion sounds heard by residents may be linked to interception operations being carried out by air defence systems against hostile aerial objects.
Authorities urged citizens and residents to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information while security forces continue monitoring the situation.
The General Staff called on the public to strictly follow instructions issued by relevant authorities and cooperate with emergency and security agencies.
Officials stressed that all necessary defensive measures are being taken to safeguard the country and respond effectively to any threats.
The military has not yet released further details regarding the origin of the missiles or drones, while monitoring and response operations remain ongoing.
Authorities said updates will be provided through official channels as more information becomes available.
