Iran Directly Targeted Kuwait Airport, Says US Central Command

The United States Central Command has accused Iran of carrying out a deliberate drone attack on Kuwait International Airport, rejecting Iranian claims that damage to the airport was caused by an American interceptor missile.

In a statement released on Wednesday, CENTCOM described the incident as a “deliberate, calculated and unjustified” attack targeting the civilian airport.

The US military command strongly denied assertions made by Iranian officials that an American missile used to intercept incoming threats was responsible for damage to the airport’s passenger area.

According to CENTCOM, Iran’s account of the incident is “completely false,” insisting that the airport was directly targeted by Iranian drones.

The statement emphasized that the attack struck a civilian aviation facility and accused Iran of intentionally targeting non-military infrastructure during the incident.
