Kuwait Launches Digital Vehicle Travel Records Service on Sahel

Kuwait has taken another step in its digital transformation journey by launching a new online service that allows vehicle owners to obtain official records of their cross-border travel history through the Sahel government application.

The new service, introduced by the General Administration of Customs, enables both Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to access certificates detailing the entry and exit movements of their vehicles through land border checkpoints.

According to customs authorities, the digital certificate will include vehicle travel records covering a period of up to three months, providing users with quick and convenient access to verified information without the need to visit government offices.

To enhance security and authenticity, each certificate includes a unique QR code that allows banks, insurance companies and government agencies to instantly verify the document’s validity.

Officials said the service is expected to benefit vehicle owners who require travel records for insurance claims, banking procedures, legal documentation and various government transactions.

The initiative forms part of Kuwait’s broader strategy to expand digital government services and reduce paperwork by offering more services through the unified Sahel platform.

Authorities noted that the new feature reflects ongoing efforts to improve service efficiency, simplify procedures and support the country’s transition toward a paperless government system.
