Kuwait Tightens Civil ID Address Verification Rules

Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Civil Information has cancelled the registered residential addresses of 319 individuals and instructed those affected to update their details within 30 days.

According to the authority, the addresses were removed from official records following requests from property owners or because the buildings linked to those addresses had been demolished.

PACI has urged affected residents to register a new residential address by visiting its service centres or through the government’s unified Sahel platform.

Authorities warned that individuals who fail to update their address information within the specified period could face legal action and financial penalties under Article 33 of Law No. 32 of 1982.

Officials said fines may reach up to KD100 per person for non-compliance, stressing the importance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in Kuwait’s civil database.

The authority explained that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to ensure the accuracy of civil records and improve the efficiency of government services linked to Civil ID information.

PACI also reminded residents that accurate address registration is essential for accessing various government services and completing official transactions without complications.
