Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has launched the fourth phase of a major training programme aimed at preparing teachers for leadership and supervisory positions within the education sector.
The initiative is designed to identify and develop qualified candidates for key educational roles, including school principals, assistant principals, heads of study divisions and technical advisors. The programme forms part of broader efforts to improve school performance and strengthen educational leadership across the country.
Nearly 8,000 applicants had applied for the positions when registrations opened last November. The latest training phase will include around 1,500 newly selected candidates, along with 2,198 individuals who previously qualified and remain on waiting lists.
The intensive programme, running from June 14 to 18, focuses on leadership skills, communication, meeting management and report writing. Participants have been notified of their schedules through the Easy Application platform and SMS services.
Following the training, candidates will be required to pass an online assessment. Successful participants will be appointed to available positions based on vacancies and eligibility criteria.
The Ministry of Education said the initiative reflects its commitment to selecting the most qualified educational leaders through a transparent process while enhancing the overall quality of education in Kuwait.
