Kuwait Oil Sector Restructuring Advances With KNPC-KIPIC Integration

Kuwait City: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has announced the start of procedures to fully integrate Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) as part of a broader restructuring initiative aimed at strengthening Kuwait’s oil sector.

KNPC Chief Executive Officer Wadha Al-Khatib said the integration is being carried out on legal and professional foundations under the strategic restructuring programme led by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). The move is intended to enhance cooperation among oil sector companies, improve operational efficiency and create greater opportunities for future growth.

Al-Khatib expressed confidence that the integration will serve as a successful model for building a stronger and more competitive economic entity capable of supporting the sector’s sustainable development objectives.

She noted that rapid changes in the global oil and gas industry require greater flexibility and adaptability, while maintaining the sector’s commitment to meeting the needs of domestic and international customers.

The company also stressed that the restructuring process will be implemented transparently and will involve employees throughout its development, recognising their key role in the continued success of Kuwait’s petroleum industry.
