Kuwait Warns of Strict Action Against Public Hygiene Violations

Kuwait City: The Kuwait Municipality has intensified inspection campaigns across various governorates to improve public cleanliness, protect road safety and curb the illegal occupation of public spaces.

The inspections are being carried out by field teams from the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Departments as part of ongoing efforts to enforce municipal regulations and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public areas. Authorities said special focus has been placed on monitoring violations in the Hawalli Governorate.

During the latest inspection campaign, officials recorded 65 violations related to public hygiene and road encroachments. They also removed 53 abandoned or illegally parked vehicles and issued 361 warning notices and stickers at different locations across the inspection areas.

The municipality said strict legal action will continue against activities that damage public spaces or obstruct traffic. Officials stressed that there will be no leniency toward violators and confirmed that inspection campaigns will be expanded in the coming days to ensure public safety, cleanliness and compliance with municipal laws.
