Kuwait City: The Ministry of Public Works has reopened a major road linking Sabah Al Salem and Al-Masayel with Fahaheel Road after completing extensive renovation works as part of the country’s ongoing road infrastructure development programme.
According to the ministry, the project included replacing damaged asphalt, strengthening the road foundation, upgrading road shoulders, repainting lane markings and installing new traffic signs in line with modern engineering standards.
Officials said the road improvement forms part of a wider nationwide plan to enhance road quality, improve traffic safety and provide smoother connectivity between residential and commercial areas across Kuwait.
The ministry added that high-quality construction materials capable of withstanding Kuwait’s extreme temperatures and changing weather conditions were used during the rehabilitation works. The upgraded materials are expected to increase the lifespan of the road while reducing the need for frequent maintenance.
Authorities said similar infrastructure projects will continue across the country to modernise Kuwait’s road network and improve the overall travel experience for motorists.
