Indian Embassy in Kuwait Limits Consular Services to Emergencies From July 1

KUWAIT CITY, June 30: The Embassy of India in Kuwait has announced that consular, passport, and visa services will be limited to emergency cases only from July 1, 2026, due to administrative reasons.

The embassy said emergency services will be provided only to applicants who submit supporting documents proving the urgent nature of their request. Services available include Tatkal passports, NRI certificates, short-validity passports for Civil ID expiry cases, Emergency Certificates, and e-Visas.

Regular passport applications, attestations, and normal visa services will not be accepted or processed during this period.

The Embassy also announced that all Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) will stop accepting applications from July 1 until further notice.

Applicants with genuine emergencies are requested to visit the Embassy’s Consular Wing between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM with the necessary supporting documents. The Embassy advised the public to follow only its official communication channels for further updates.
