Shrimp Season Opens with 13 Tons on Day One; Prices Expected to Fall

KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 3: Kuwait’s shrimp fishing season began with a strong start as more than 13 tons of shrimp were landed by 240 fishing boats on the opening day. Officials expect supply to increase and prices to decline in the coming days. Meanwhile, the arrival of imported Iraqi Zubaidi fish has pushed local prices down from KD 17 to KD 8 per kilogram.
